For the second time we have now been forced to abort our intended plan of action, This is due to health issues but is not at the moment a major concern. Remi has potentially partially slipped a disk in his lower back, this is of course causing pain when subjected to 30-35kg packloads which is required to carry the nessesary food to support this remote section of our trip. Will has also aquired a gut infection but is recovering thanks to medication.
We have rather begrudginly revised our plans accordingly. Instead we now aim to hitch-hike around the western fjords aiming towards the most westerly point. From here we will hitch around the country in a clockwise direction using the ring road (route 1). Along the way we intend upon summiting peaks with light packs from a low base camp as and when we please, this should allow us to continue viewing the country in a way that rests us enought to be able to safely continue our intended plan to cross the country later in the season. We will keep you all posted on our progress and wish you all the best.
