Han pasado varios días desde el fatal accidente que terminó con la vida de 16 Sherpas. Múltiples reuniones entre los Sherpas, expediciones y también con el Ministro de Turismo se han llevado a cabo durante estos días.

Los Sherpas demandan mejoras en sus condiciones laborales, las cuales han sido llevadas por sus representantes ante el Ministerio de Turismo y las empresas locales que contratan a los Sherpas.

Hoy jueves 24 el Ministro de Turismo vino al Campamento Base del Everest para revisar los puntos expuestos por los Sherpas. Fue una reunión que duró un poco más de dos horas.

Muchas expediciones ya se han retirado del Campamento Base y otras se encuentran a la espera de lo que decidan los Sherpas.

La temporada 2014 por la "ruta normal de Nepal" se ve muy complicada. Todas las expediciones que se encuentran aún en el Campo Base están "suspendidas", nadie ha subido durante estos días al C1 o C2 por lo que la aclimatación de los escaladores y la logística de altura no se ha realizado, lo que afecta cualquier intento de cumbre que se quiera realizar.

Obviamente estaremos informando cómo se resuelve esta temporada desde el Campo Base del Everest.
