The trip down the remainder of the OR coast and into California has
continued to amaze. First, we stumbled upon professional windsurfers
taking advantage of honking winds to fly across the ocean and jump
over enormous ocean waves. We learned later that Pistol River, OR is
a famous windsurfing locale. Very cool. The next morning, we walked
amongst Redwoods that are up to 1,500 years old and 300 feet tall in
Redwood NP. Later, we enjoyed the quaint town of Mendocino with Pinot
Noir in hand and sounds of the Mendocino Music Festival in the
background.

We got a great laugh out of the responses to our questions from last
time- here is an (edited) recap:

"Southern Belle" - (1) "Beauty and helplessness, feigned or actual";
(2) "spoiled rotten"; (3) "A fat blond woman with no teeth who sits on
a porch in a big sun dress drinking sweet tea (hence the no teeth) and
calling people 'Shuga.'"

Next up... hanging with Blair and Jim in San Francisco!
